Firefighters quickly brought a Valencia brush fire that burned in the wash near the William S. Hart baseball fields under control Friday night.
Around 9:40 p.m. Friday, emergency responders received reports of a tree on fire that had spread to surrounding brush near Auto Center Court and Valencia Boulevard by the Hart Baseball fields, according to Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We responded and found a brush and grass fire,” Pittman said.
Three engines and a water tender responded to the scene to bring the blaze under control, according to Fire officials.
Pittman stated that by 10 p.m. Friday, the Valencia fire was stopped at a quarter of an acre, and firefighters remained on scene to mop up any hot spots.
