The Sylmar man who was killed in a Sierra Highway crash in Newhall in late February has been identified.
Vincent Reyes, 24, of Sylmar was killed in a Sierra Highway fatal crash in February, said Sarah Ardalani, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office.
Just before 8 p.m., Feb. 24, reports were received of a traffic collision on Sierra Highway south of Needham Ranch Parkway, according to Supervisor Imy McBride With the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“It was a traffic collision that was reported on Sierra Highway near Clampitt Road,” McBride said at the time. “There was one (dead on arrival).”
Sierra Highway was closed in both directions for an unknown duration due to the incident, according to officials on scene.
