The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger are expected to host a food drive at the Castaic Lake Recreation Area on Thursday.
This grocery giveaway and others held in the past year by Supervisor Barger and the L.A. Regional Food Bank comes as a relief response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As we work toward recovery for our communities by vaccinating residents and equipping families to safely return to work and school, Los Angeles County is continuing to combat food insecurity,” Supervisor Barger said. “In partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, we invite Santa Clarita Valley residents to attend our grocery giveaway to ensure local families are fed.”
