During a crime suppression operation in Santa Clarita, deputies with the Special Assignment Team (SAT) arrested a man for possession of various narcotics with intent to sell last Wednesday.
Deputies with the Special Assignment Team (SAT) arrested a male on several narcotics for sales charges during a traffic stop at 7 p.m. near Nearbrook Street and Rockgrove Avenue in Canyon Country.

Upon searching his vehicle, various narcotics were recovered including heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription pills as well as paraphernalia and contraband for use of sales of narcotics, officials said.
The suspect, James Popejoy, 49, of Valencia was arrested on felony charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Several additional felony arrests were made by SAT deputies throughout the evening.
