A GoFundMe page has been set up for a Santa Clarita deputy who lost his family home to a house fire on Saturday.
According to the GoFundMe page, the money raised is set to go to Deputy Ayala with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to help him and his family recover from a fire that destroyed their home, wrote organizer Sigi Sandoval.
“Deputy Ayala has served the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station for approximately 4 years and is a very generous person with a big heart,” read the GoFundMe page.
Ayala and his fiancé had a baby in January, and had readied their home for the child before the fire.
“They had eagerly prepared everything in their home for her welcoming,” wrote Sandoval.
As of Tuesday, the page has raised $9,910 of its $30,000 goal.
“Please help Deputy Ayala and his family recover from this tragedy,” wrote Sandoval. “All donations will be tremendously appreciated.”
