One person was taken to a nearby hospital late Saturday afternoon after falling from a helicopter in a rappelling accident in Saugus.
Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, first responders with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a medical emergency near the 20000 block of Blue Cloud Road in Saugus.
“Somebody was rappelling from a helicopter and fell,” said Supervisor Ed Pickett with the department.
The male adult who fell was reportedly conscious and in stable condition when first responders arrived on scene, and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
The exact circumstances leading up to the incident were not immediately known as of Saturday afternoon.
