A Canyon Country shooting suspect, wanted in connection to an alleged domestic violence incident in November, has been arrested in the Antelope Valley this week.
Kevin Greaney, 30, was arrested on Wednesday by deputies with the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) inmate records.
Greaney is being charged with one count each of possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm and possession for sale of a controlled substance, according to Greg Risling, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
As of Friday, the LASD has not filed any additional charges, according to the D.A’s Office.
On Nov. 30, deputies responded to the report of a shooting on the 16600 block of Minter Court in Canyon Country, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Upon arrival, deputies entered the residence and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her lower torso,” Arriaga said in a previous article. “During (the) investigation, deputies learned the victim was shot by her boyfriend.”
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Several days after the shooting, detectives released the name of Greaney as a suspect, asking the public’s help in locating the person of interest.
Greaney is due in court Friday for an arraignment hearing, according to Risling.
He is being held at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles on $120,000 bail, according to inmate records.
