The Pine Fire broke out in an attic inside a Saugus home Monday afternoon, prompting a response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Just before 2:50 p.m. Monday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a structure fire on the 27000 block of Pinebank Drive in Saugus.
“We have a two-story home with a possible attic fire,” said Franklin Lopez, spokesperson for the department.

When officials arrived on scene, they reported smoke coming from the attic of a home. Officials later dubbed the incident the Pine Fire.
Knockdown on the blaze was called less than 20 minutes after officials arrived on scene.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident as of 3 p.m. Monday
The exact cause of the fire was not known as of Monday afternoon.
Officials were still on scene as of 3 p.m. Monday.
