A jackknifed big rig blocked nearly all lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway early Monday, resulting in a SigAlert near the Newhall Pass, officials said.
Just before 12:20 a.m. Monday, officials with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) received reports of a jackknifed big rig blocking several lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway just north of Roxford Street, a little south of the Newhall Pass, according to the California Highway Patrol incident logs.
A SigAlert has been issued by 12:31 a.m. Monday for the HOV Lane, as well as the No. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the northbound 5 freeway just north of Roxford Street for at least two hours, according to CHP logs. Only the No. 5 lane was open on the northbound 5 as of 12:45 a.m. Monday.
No injuries were reported due to the incident, according to CHP logs.
