First ‘Significant Rain Of The Season’ In Santa Clarita Weather Forecast


Officials with the National Weather Service (NWS) announced Friday that the “first significant rain of the season” is expected for areas in Los Angeles County, including the Santa Clarita Valley.

NWS officials announced Friday that the “first significant rain of the season” is expected to hit Los Angeles County starting Sunday night and lasting through Monday.

“A cold front coming through (Sunday) night through (Monday) will bring upwards of 0.25-1″ of rain across the area,” reads an official post from the NWS.

In the Santa Clarita Valley, officials say that rain is most likely to begin after 11 p.m. Sunday, then lasting until about 5 p.m. Monday.

The rest of the week is forecast to be clear, with daytime highs ranging from the high 50’s to the low 60’s through Friday.
