At Least One Detained In Connection To Tesla Theft In Valencia

At least one individual was detained in relation to the theft of a vehicle Theft in Valencia Thursday afternoon.

Just after 3:30 p.m., reports were received of a stolen vehicle, a Tesla, at a charging station on Newhall Ranch Road near McBean Parkway, according to Sgt. Jepson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Deputies responded to a call reporting a stolen Tesla outside of (the Santa Clarita Valley),” Jepson said. “We located the vehicle at a charging station on Newhall Ranch Road.”

“At least one” person was detained in relation to the stolen vehicle, the station was able to confirm.

Potential charges for those detained are unable to be released Thursday, pending the investigation.
