Canyon Country Shooting Suspect Named, Still At-Large

The suspect in a Canyon County shooting on Monday, which is being investigated as an alleged domestic violence incident, has been identified by detectives. 

Kevin Greaney, 30, is wanted in connection to the shooting on the 16600 block of Minter Court in Canyon Country, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

“Upon arrival, deputies entered the residence and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her lower torso,” Arriaga said. “During (the) investigation, deputies learned the victim was shot by her boyfriend.”

The suspect left the location prior to deputy arrival and is still outstanding, Arriaga said Friday.

Just before 4:10 p.m. Monday, the Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call regarding a medical emergency, according to Franklin Lopez, spokesperson for the department.

“We had a patient with a stomach wound,” said Franklin Lopez with the department.

One woman was transported to a nearby hospital, Lopez added.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Sheriff’s officials.

As of Friday, Greaney remains at-large, with detectives seeking any potential witnesses, according to Arriaga.
