Early Morning Newhall Assault Involving Knife Sends Two To Hospital

An early Sunday morning assault involving a knife in Newhall sent two people to the hospital, according to officials.

Around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning, an assault involving a knife was reported on the 24000 block of Arch Street in Newhall, according to Trina Schrader from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“At 1:43 (a.m.) we got a family dispute call,” Schrader said, from the Sheriff Information Bureau. “A male Hispanic was arrested and two were sent two the hospital. One, a female Hispanic, was in a stable condition and we don’t have info on the other patient.”

An active investigation is currently ongoing on Arch Street in Newhall as of 12 p.m. Sunday.

The identity of the suspect is unavailable as of Sunday afternoon.
