Three Arrested After Fraudulently Buying High End Cars In Santa Clarita


Three people were arrested by detectives with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Wednesday after fraudulently buying high end cars in Santa Clarita and obtaining hundreds of stolen DMV documents.

On Wednesday, Career Offender, Robbery, Burglary and Assault, (COBRA) detectives with Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested three individuals who possessed drug contraband and were fraudulently buying high end cars in Valencia, said Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Station.

On Wednesday, the detectives learned of the individuals fraudulently buying high end cars, then traced the suspects back to Marina Del Rey where they executed a search warrant

Hundreds of contraband items were found, including a pound of methamphetamine, hundreds of fraudulent DMV documents and driver’s licenses and hundreds of documents and blank checks not under the names of the suspects, Arriaga said.

Three high end cars were also found.

Three arrests were made for identity theft, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, possession of a controlled substance for sale and other charges, Arriaga said.
