A Santa Clarita man killed in a crash on Sand Canyon Road earlier this month has been identified.
Pedro Ramirez, 27, of Newhall, was killed in a Santa Clarita crash on Sept. 12, said Sarah Ardalani, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. on the 26000 block of Sand Canyon Road on Sept. 12, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The vehicle Ramirez was in had collided with a block wall, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Arriaga said.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor, according to officials.
No other fatalities were reported as a result of the crash.
