Family Of Missing Acton 14-Year-Old Seeks Public Help In Finding Daughter

The family of a 14-year-old girl who was last seen leaving Vasquez High School on Thursday is seeking help from the community to bring the teenager home safely.

Destiny Isabella Villanueva, also referred to as Destiny Isabella Mercado, was last seen leaving Vasquez High School in Acton after her first or second period class last Thursday, according to her family in a social media post.

Villanueva is described as a Hispanic light-skinned 14-year-old girl around 5’03’’ tall and 160 lbs with brown eyes and brown curly hair about mid back length, according to her missing persons report.

The 14-year-old girl was last seen wearing light gray sweatpants or light blue jeans, black t-shirt, black Nike shoes, with a white Nike logo and carrying a black Vans backpack.

Her hair had been styled in two french braids, one on each side of her face, and carried one gold necklace with a cross and another simple necklace with a saint.

The teenager went missing just last month in the City of San Fernando, but was found safe about 15 miles away from the Santa Clarita area in the City of San Gabriel on Aug. 23.

During her first runaway attempt, Villanueva had asked her mother for permission via text to go to a nearby convenience store before she was reported missing later that day.
