Santa Clarita’s Junior Chamber International (JCI) is scheduled to host an interactive workshop “designed to help participants find their purpose” in September.
Hosted by motivational speaker Corey Curties in September, the event is expected to challenge participants to identify their purpose in life through intimate, engaging, and interactive lectures, according to JCI.
“Part of the problem is that people’s passions don’t meet their purpose because what they are truly destined for has not yet been discovered,” read a statement from JCI. “This self-reflective session challenges participants to gain a clearer vision by balancing those realities with current day responsibilities and future fulfillment.”
Not only a motivational speaker, Curties is also a certified personal and professional development coach as well as an author with the intent of helping others find and cultivate their purpose, according to JCI.

Fueled by his motto “Purpose Over Passion,” Curties loves speaking to young leaders, college students, entrepreneurs, community leaders, frontline managers, and business executives.
“Purpose empowers you with unprecedented energy,” read a statement from JCI. “Having a career or business in a field that you’re truly interested in aligns your efforts, focus, enthusiasm, and natural gifts.”
Prior to the workshop, participants are expected to receive a link to complete a Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness (DISC) assessment.
The results will help Curties identify potential passions, according to JCI.
This event is part of JCI Santa Clarita’s 2021 training series and is scheduled to be held on September 14, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center, Room 258 located at University Center Drive in Santa Clarita, according to JCI.
Tickets are $10 which covers the cost of the assessment. The event is open to the public and anyone who wishes to find their purpose and live an energized life, according to JCI.
All participants are expected to be entered into a raffle to win a 1-on-1 personal coaching with Corey or win his book The 10 Step Workeprenuer.
To register for the event, you may sign up through the Eventbrite website or app. The link to the DISC assessment is expected to be sent via email to all participants approximately one week prior to the event.
