A third-alarm brush fire in Gorman has prompted a response from firefighters north of Santa Clarita.
UPDATE (4:31 p.m.) The Hungry Fire in Gorman has grown to at least 70 acres in size in light to medium brush, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.

UPDATE (4:20 p.m.) The Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is has been closed due to the Hungry Fire in Gorman. Visitors to the park are being evacuated, according to state officials,

ORIGINAL STORY: At around 3:20 p.m. Saturday, firefighters received reports of a brush fire at the 36000 block of Quail Canyon Road in Gorman.
Dubbed the Hungry Fire, as of 4:09 p.m. the fire is 30 acres in size with rapid movement, quickly being upgraded to a third-alarm blaze, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Cheryl Sims.
At this time no structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.

The Hungry Fire is the second brush ignition in the area Saturday, with the first being sparked by a truck fire near Vista Del Lago and the 5 Freeway.
