A double digit cooling trend is in the Santa Clarita Valley weather forecast, lasting throughout the week.
Starting Tuesday, a cooling trend is expected to begin bringing temperatures down into the 80s, said David Sweet, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Starting Tuesday, temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80s to low 90s, according to officials.
Wednesday, temperatures are expected to be around 85 degrees, according to officials.
The nearly 15 degree drop in temperature would put Santa Clarita below normal conditions for this time of year, according to Sweet.
However, come Labor Day Weekend, Santa Clarita temperatures are expected to climb back up into the 90s.
Although temperatures are expected to be cooler, Santa Clarita remains under an elevated fire watch, according to officials.
