Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public’s help to identify the vehicle seen in a social media video where a woman was heard screaming before allegedly being pulled into a van.
Investigators are seeking information related to the Santa Clarita incident where a woman was heard screaming for help in a “graphic” video posted to social media, specifically information that can be used to identify the vehicle seen in the clip or its occupants.
The incident is being investigated for “suspicious circumstances,” according to the latest update.
The video depicts a light-colored sprinter van, with aftermarket solar panels and an airconditioning unit on the roof, according to Sheriff’s officials.
The original video and the account of the user who uploaded it have since been deleted.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, deputies received a call from a citizen reporting a woman screaming for help in the area of Calgrove Boulevard and Creekside Drive in Newhall, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s officials said in a Saturday social media post.
“Deputies responded to the area and were unable to locate any parties involved in the reported incident however, there were witnesses who recorded the incident on video and told deputies that the female was inside a gray ‘Sprinter’ type van,” the post read. “We have been made aware that this video has been circulating on various community social media websites.”
Although the witness who shot the video claims the people in the van were abducting the woman heard screaming, officials did not explicitly call the incident a kidnapping attempt or kidnapping incident.
