AV Trains To Be Partically Closed For Track Maintenance In Santa Clarita

The Metrolink Antelope Valley Line is set to be closed between the Newhall and Los Angeles stations over the weekend for track maintenance.

On Saturday, Sept. 4 trains with the Antelope Valley Line are set to be non-operational between Newhall and Los Angeles as the track undergoes maintenance work, Metrolink officials announced.

While the Metrolink is closed in that area, buses are set to be provided for commuters riding through the area.

Riders can expect delays from 30 to 90 minutes due to traffic, according to Metrolink officials.

Two buses are scheduled to leave from the Newhall station at the same time the Metrolink would normally leave. See Related: Metrolink Antelope Valley Line To Partially Close On Weekends Throughout July, August

Riders can use their Metrolink tickets to ride the buses, which are set to stop at the following locations:

Not all buses will have the ability to carry bikes, since they are not all adapted to public transport. Buses that can carry bikes should have bike racks on their exteriors.

ADA accessible buses are set to be available within each group of scheduled buses.

Facial coverings continue to be required at stations, aboard trains, and on buses used for alternate transportation.

For more information on the closure and alternate routes, call or text the number on this page.
