17-year-old Santa Clarita filmmaker Griffin Loch has announced the upcoming premiere of his third feature-length film A Spark In Nothing at the Laemmle Theatre in Newhall.
“It is very exciting to say that A Spark in Nothing has found a home for its premiere screening and showcase of winning art at the newly opened Laemmle Theatre in Newhall May 24th at 7:00 pm,” said Griffin Loch. “The film will be shown in 3 auditoriums and we are proud to say that all tickets were sold out in less than 12 hours.”
The film’s description reads: “With one single choice, everything changes. One life splits into two realities. One chasing a chance at love while the other finds solace in music. If the one true path is not found within one year, both realities will cease to exist forever.”
According to Loch’s own website, the 17-year-old has over 10 years of experience in film-related work, having released his second film when he was only 14.

Loch was reportedly part of iLEAD Innovation Studios, which the SCVi website says “allows learners to incorporate their individual passions into their learning. It is a personalized approach to project-based learning.”
The Laemmle Theatre, at which Loch’s film is set to premiere, is located at 22500 Lyons Avenue, Santa Clarita, CA 91321.
