A Santa Clarita apartment structure fire prompted a response from firefighters Tuesday, hours after crews extinguished a blaze at the same address.
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters received reports of a structure fire in the 24700 block of Valley Street in Newhall, said Martin Rangel, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“When units arrived on scene they reported smoke was showing,” Rangel said.
It was determined to be an attic fire, according to officials.
At 10:01 p.m. crews called knock down on the fire, according to Rangel.
This fire was the second reported fire at this address.
Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, crews responded to the 24700 block of Valley Street and reported a balcony caught fire, according to officials.
As of Tuesday evening arson investigators have not been requested, according to Rangel.
