A reckless driver was pursued by deputies with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station after “weaving in and out of traffic” in Santa Clarita on Friday, officials said.
Around 4 p.m. Friday, deputies received reports of a reckless driver on the Old Road approaching Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita, according to Lt. Jonathan Hoyt with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station initiated a pursuit on the driver who was “weaving in and out of traffic,” reaching speeds up to 75 miles per hour, according Hoyt.
“The pursuit had been cancelled due to worries of public safety,” Hoyt said. “We are currently working to identify the suspect.”

The suspect has not been placed in custody as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to Hoyt.
No injuries were reported.
