City Of Santa Clarita Announces Two New Patriotic Public Art Exhibits

The City of Santa Clarita announces the showcase of two new patriotic art exhibits available for public viewing.

Carlos Batchelor is the mixed-media artist behind Newhall’s future art exhibit, “American Mosaic,” set to be featured by the City of Santa Clarita.

Batchelor is known to use repurposed materials in his portraits, abstract pieces, and nature imagery, according to officials.
The materials used to make the mosaics include shredded CDs, rubber bands, crushed eggshells and more.

“American Mosaic” by Batchelor is said to be available for viewing at the Newhall Community Center through Sept. 21, 2021.

The second new art exhibit in Santa Clarita City Hall’s “Stars and stripes” showcases work from a variety of artists in honor of the Fourth of July.

The patriotic exhibit showcases each artist’s love for America, depicting a variety of American flags, in addition to a former president’s portrait, officials said.

The exhibit is available for viewing in the lobby area of Santa Clarita City Hall’s First Floor Gallery until the end of July.

“Stars and Stripes” is set to be featured alongside the “Color is Your World”, a currently featured art exhibit, according to officials.
