A burglary suspect was taken into custody Wednesday after a brief foot pursuit in Santa Clarita.
Around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, deputies located a burglary suspect on American Beauty Drive and Sundowner Way in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
When deputies attempted to make contact with the suspect he ran away on foot, according to Sheriff’s officials.
A brief foot pursuit occurred before the deputies lost sight of the suspect and a containment was established, according to Arriaga.
The suspect was quickly located and taken into custody, according to Arriaga.
As of Wednesday morning, the exact time and location of the burglary the suspect is wanted for is unknown.
