A 55-hour full closure of the eastbound Interstate 210 has snarled traffic around the Santa Clarita Valley since Friday, officials said.

On Monday, the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) alerted the public to a pavement project to be held over the weekend, causing a 55-hour full closure of the eastbound 210, according to CalTrans.

All lanes of the eastbound I-210, spanning from Interstate 5 to Roxford Street in Sylmar, were fully closed as a result of the project, according to CalTrans.
The eastbound I-210 is expected to resume normal operations on Monday, June 14.
