A vehicle search conducted by a deputy with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station during a Santa Clarita traffic stop Monday led to the discovery of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and contraband.
Around 4 p.m. Monday, a deputy was patrolling the 26400 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus when he noticed a vehicle with a license plate that did not match its description and initiated a traffic stop that led to two drug-related arrests, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the station.
“During the traffic stop, the deputy learned the male driver did not possess a valid driver’s license and was unable to provide proof he was the registered owner of the vehicle,” wrote Arriaga in a social media post Tuesday. “A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and contraband similar for use of sales of narcotics.”
The deputy also learned the driver was not carrying a valid driver’s license and was not able to prove he was the owner of the vehicle.
28-year-old Alejandro Gomez and 23-year-old Christopher Porche were arrested on several charges including vehicle without the owner’s consent and possession of a controlled substance for sales, according to Arriaga.
