The Cube Santa Clarita Ice Rink Now Seeking Retail, Restaurant Proposals For Newly Opened Facility

American Sports Entertainment Company (ASEC), the L.A. Kings, and the City of Santa Clarita have announced that they are now open to retail and restaurant proposals for the newly-renovated The Cube – Ice and Entertainment Center in Santa Clarita.

New proposals for retail and restaurant locations in The Cube ice rink are reportedly being considered by ASEC, the L.A. Kings, and the City of Santa Clarita.

“The Cube opened to the public in April 2021, and new partners for the pro shop and restaurant areas will help launch a new era of ice sports, events and entertainment in Santa Clarita,” stated officials with the City of Santa Clarita.

The 93,000 square foot space can hold up to 2,400 people, and is set to host sports like hockey and ice skating in addition to events like conventions, conferences, sports competitions and concerts.

The facility features three sheets of ice, including an NHL rink, an Olympic rink and The Pond, in addition to a restaurant on the second floor and retail space on the ground floor.

“Approximately 4,650 square feet of restaurant space is also available on the second floor at The Cube. Contained within this space are a 1,030 square-foot kitchen, a U-shaped bar and two areas for seating,” City officials said in a statement. “It is preferred that the restaurant operator will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a variety of drink options and adult beverages and partner with The Cube on food for birthday parties and events.”

The retail space on the ground floor also has certain requirements, according to City officials.

“The 1,570 square-foot pro shop on the first floor of The Cube includes retail space, office space, a dressing room, storage room and sharpening room,” City officials said in a statement. “It is preferred that the operator will offer skate sharpening, riveting, jersey number and logo pressing, as well as retail sales of hockey and skating equipment and The Cube merchandise.

Those interested in submitting proposals to the ice station’s owners must do so by Wednesday, May 5. Requests for proposals can be reached here and must be submitted by email to the ice rink’s General Manager Larry Bruyere.

In order to submit, and for further information on proposals, those interested are invited to send an email to larry.bruyere@thecubesantaclarita.com.
