Taste Of The Town Brings Flavor Back To The Santa Clarita Valley In May

The annual Taste of the Town fundraising event, hosted by the Child & Family Center, is slated to return to the Santa Clarita Valley in May to share local flavor with the community.

On May 2, the Santa Clarita Valley’s Taste of the Town annual event is scheduled to be hosted by the Child & Family Center, and plans to feature many of the city’s local restaurants.

“Taste of the Town is our largest fundraiser and more important than ever. Over the past year, our therapists and case managers have continued to help over 900 children, teens and families in our community who struggle with anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence situations,” reads the program’s website. “Your support helps provide funding to continue to provide these crucial services. Thank you!”

As per the program’s instructions, attendees are asked to check in at the Child & Family Center to pick up a gift bag, then to continue to the drive-thru event.

The instructions also state that attendees can sit at socially-distanced tables, enjoy the D.J.’s music, and begin bidding on auction items.

“Unfortunately we are unable to have all of our vendors on site, but you can support them by purchasing a ticket and choosing their gift card to visit them for lunch or dinner at your convenience,” reads the site’s information.

General admission tickets, which are said to cost $75, reportedly include a $25 gift card to a restaurant of choice. VIP tickets reportedly cost $125, with two $25 gift cards included.

Gift bags are also reportedly included, and are said to contain items valued at over $85.

Tickets are on sale now, and sales are slated to close on Friday, April 30 at noon.

The event check-in is reportedly located at 21545 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita, at the Child & Family Center, and is scheduled for 12 to 4 p.m.

The Child & Family Center provides mental health services for families throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, helping with many different issues ranging from domestic violence to rehab.

The center helps hundreds of children, teens and their families each week seeking help for anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance use and other mental health, emotional or behavioral issues.
