A Santa Clarita murder suspect was arrested after an hours-long standoff with deputies in Neenach Thursday night, after his wife was stabbed to death in Santa Clarita earlier that day.
UPDATE (11:00 p.m.): After several hours and many verbal attempts by Santa Clarita Station deputies and the SEB Tactical Team and Crisis Negotiations Team, the incident concluded peacefully, according to Sheriff’s officials.
The Santa Clarita murder suspect was arrested and taken into custody without any incident.
UPDATE (7:15 p.m.): Crisis negotiators have arrived on scene and are working to bring this to a peaceful conclusion, according to Sheriffs officials.
Around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, deputies received reports from a citizen that a Chevy Malibu possibly matching the vehicle occupied by James Dorsey was spotted near Barns Ranch Road in Neenach, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Around 4:35 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were able to locate the vehicle on 330th Street West and Alamo Newark Pump Drive, according to officials.

As of 4:50 p.m., the suspect is currently in a standoff with Sheriff’s deputies, according to officials.
Dorsey is wanted after he allegedly stabbed his estranged wife to death while their three children were in the house on the 22800 block of Fir Court in Saugus.
