Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect after a search warrant led to the recovery of around 7 pounds of illicit drugs and around 1,000 pills.
In an effort to combat fentanyl overdoses in the Santa Clarita Valley, the North Region Narcotics Team assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, along with the help of the Juvenile Intervention Team (J-Team) served a search warrant in the City of Panorama last week, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Station in a Facebook post.
“After an extensive search, deputies recovered nine firearms, several components of various firearms ready to be assembled, a large amount of ammunition, approximately 1 pound of fentanyl, 6 pounds of methamphetamine, over 1,000 pharmaceutical pills and additional narcotics,” Arriaga wrote.
The suspect, whose name is being withheld, was arrested for numerous felony charges of sales of narcotics and weapons charges.
“We are here for you Santa Clarita, because your safety is our priority,” Arriaga added.
