Newhall Man Arrested After Making Verbal Threats To Business

A Newhall man was arrested after a gun was allegedly found in his house, a day after he reportedly verbally threatened a business.

Around 12 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy patrolling the 19900 block of Golden Valley Road in Canyon Country was approached by an employee of a local business and informed the deputy that a past client had contacted the business and made verbal threats, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

On Wednesday morning, deputies were able to locate the suspect at his residence on the 19700 block of Scarlet Meadow Drive in Newhall, Arriaga said.

“During a search of his residence, a firearm was located,” Arriaga said.

Demetri Mansori, 25, from Newhall was arrested for making criminal threats, a felony, Arriaga added.

Mansori was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $50,000, according to arrest records.
