A Valencia pursuit involving burglary suspects ended Thursday afternoon in a crash, sending at least one person to the hospital.
Around 2:10 p.m. Thursday, deputies located a vehicle matching the description of a wanted burglary suspect near McBean Parkway and Grandview Drive in Valencia, said Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
When the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, it fled and a pursuit was initiated, according to Sheriff’s officials.
The pursuit reached speeds of 45 mph and ended in a crash on McBean Parkway near Newhall Ranch Road, Arriaga said.
“Sheriff’s requested us for a crash at the end of a pursuit,” said Marvin Lim, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 2:45 p.m. Thursday, one person had been transported with unknown injuries due to the crash, according to Lim.
