A Castaic containment has been set up Friday afternoon after five people allegedly attempted to rob a victim at gunpoint.
UPDATE 3:15 p.m.: All five suspects have been taken in to custody, according to Sheriff’s officials.
See Original post: Around 12:30 p.m. Friday, deputies received reports of a possible armed robbery on the 27000 block of Quincy Street near Hasley Canyon Road in Castaic, said Lt. Ethan Marquez, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“We are investigating five male hispanics for robbery,” Marquez said. “They were apparently armed with a firearm.”
Deputies have set up a containment in the area around Quincy Street and have detained “a few suspects with a few of them outstanding,” Marquez said.
As of 1:15 p.m., deputies were still actively searching for the possible armed outstanding suspects.
No property was obtained by the suspects, and no injuries were reported.
