Three Stolen Vehicles Recovered In Santa Clarita Crime Suppression Operation

A crime suppression operation Wednesday night resulted in five arrests throughout Santa Clarita as deputies targeted auto theft.

On Wednesday night, deputies with the Crime Impact Team (CIT), with the help of the Taskforce for Regional Auto Theft Prevention (TRAP) North Team, conducted a crime suppression operation targeting auto theft crime in Santa Clarita, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“From the operation, three vehicles previously reported stolen were recovered, as well as five individual arrests were made,” Arriaga wrote in an official Facebook post Friday.

Wednesday night’s crime suppression operation is just one of several different tactics deputies use throughout Santa Clarita in their effort to lower crime.

In previous operations, deputies dressed in plain clothing while patrolling shopping centers known for illegal activity, looking for individuals attempting to steal from stores or vehicles.

“Our deputies and specialized teams will continue to conduct more crime suppression operations in the near future,” Arriaga wrote.
