Canyon Country Assault Prompts Emergency Response


Officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a Canyon Country assault that left at least one person injured Monday afternoon, officials said.

Just after 2:20 p.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of an assault that occurred near the intersection of Rock Rose Lane and Jakes Way in Canyon Country, according to Dispatcher Melanie Flores with the Los Angeles County Fire Department

“We got the call from sheriff’s (deputies) as a response to an assault,” said Flores.

The condition of the victim was unknown as of Monday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation as of 2:40 p.m. Monday, according to officials on scene.
