SigAlert Issued Due To 5 Freeway Crash In Castaic


A SigAlert has been issued for the northbound 5 Freeway in Castaic after a traffic collision Monday night, officials said.

Just after 6:10 p.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision on the northbound 5 Freeway just north of Parker Road in Castaic, according to Supervisor Cheryl Sims with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“There were two ambulances called, said Sims. “The ambulance transported two trauma patients, no (description of) male or female.

The condition of the victims were unknown as of Monday night.

The No. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway were blocked for at least 30 minutes to allow emergency responders to handle the incident.
