One Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Canyon Country Home

One person was taken to a nearby hospital Monday night after a car crashed through a fence and into a home in Canyon Country.

Just before 6:20 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the 18900 block of Nearbrook Street in Canyon Country.

“It was a vehicle versus a building,” said Supervisor Cheryl Sims with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital as a result of the crash, according to officials on scene.

Additionally, the driver of the car that crashed into the home was detained as part of the investigation into the incident. Deputies administered a field sobriety test for the driver, the results of which were not immediately made available as of Monday evening.

A portion of the fence of the home’s front yard was knocked down, and the side of the house sustained significant damage, according to officials on scene.
