Deputies are investigating a Canyon Country robbery Friday afternoon after an individual reportedly tried to steal a woman’s purse at a nearby grocery store.
Around 2:15 p.m. deputies received reports of a robbery at the Vons grocery store on the 26500 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, said Lt. Ethan Marquez with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“There was a reported robbery and deputies are on scene investigating,” Marquez said.
Initial reports indicate that a male suspect allegedly stole a woman’s purse, according to officials.
Deputies arrived on scene and were able to locate and detain the suspect, according to Marquez.
No injuries were reported in connection with this incident, according to officials.
