Valencia Apple Store Temporarily Closes, Along With Other CA Locations

The Valencia Apple store is closing temporarily, along with other California locations as coronavirus cases surge across the state.

As COVID-19 cases in California surge, Apple is temporarily closing its retail locations statewide, including the Valencia Town Center location, according to the company.

“We’re temporarily closing soon, but are currently open for pickup of existing online orders, previously scheduled in-store Genius Support appointments and previously reserved one-on-one shopping sessions with a Specialist made through Tuesday, Dec. 22,” reads the Apple site regarding the Valencia location. “For best service, please arrive during your reserved time.”

Other stores may still be open for pickup of existing online orders, previously scheduled in-store Genius Support appointments, and previously reserved one-on-one shopping sessions with a Specialist made through a specific date.

“If your store is no longer open, you can get all the same products and services from our online store with free no-contact delivery, and one-on-one shopping help from a Specialist via Chat,” reads their site. “In every store, we’re limiting occupancy and giving everyone lots of room, while renewing our focus on Genius Support and one‑on‑one, personalized service throughout the store.”

In the locations that are still open, product displays have been reduced so customers may shop at a safe distance from one another. Face masks are required and can be provided to those who have appointments.

Temperature checks are made before customers enter the store for their customer service appointments.

In order to prevent contact contamination, the Apple stores conduct “deep cleaning” of surfaces and products throughout the day as well as after closing hours.

After the Valencia store closes, curbside pickup and is to be available for online orders. Pickup windows are to be organized. Not all locations will be able to accept returns if the initial purchase was made in the storefront, however.
