Two Airlifted After Being Trapped In 5 Freeway Crash Near Frazier Park

Two people were airlifted after being trapped inside a vehicle in a 5 Freeway crash Thursday afternoon, officials said.

The crash was reported at about 2:40 p.m. Thursday on the southbound 5 Freeway near Frazier Mountain Park Road, according to Supervisor Peters, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“Two patients were extricated,” Peters said. “Two patients are being taken by air to (a nearby hospital).”

Air Rescue 5 from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was requested to the scene due to the north county L.A. County Fire helicopter being on another call, according to Fire officials.

The conditions of the victims are unknown as of Thursday.
