The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce is set to close nominations for its annual Business Choice Awards on Wednesday, before the Jan. 28 event.
“At our Annual Awards & Installation, we recognize individuals for their entrepreneurial spirit or if they are excelling and making an impact in their field, as well as a business who is setting an example and leading the way,” wrote Peter Warda, vice president of the Chamber.
Nominations are currently open and will close on Wednesday, Dec. 23. The SCV Chamber is urging Santa Clarita residents to submit a form either about their own business or a business they know of, or both.
“This year, every business has a story to tell. We want to hear it and we want a chance to recognize you for it,” Warda wrote. “The Business Choice Award categories will include, but are not limited to, businesses who have thrived, adapted, survived as well as our reoccurring award categories.”
The finalists are to be announced early January with the winners announced at our 98th Annual Awards & Installation, taking place virtually on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021. Networking will begin at 6:00 p.m.with the program starting promptly at 7:00 p.m, according to Warda.
“We understand businesses have endured some of, if not, the most challenging times. But we can proudly say our business community has shown grit, determination and adaptability,” Warda continued. “We will not be limiting our awards, but based on your story, create a recognizable award category and determine why the business deserves to be honored.”
