Norway is a Northern European country and is part of the Scandinavian region, sharing boundaries with Finland and Sweden in the northwest region and east respectively. With a population of over 5.3 million people, Norway is considered as one of the most financially stable economies worldwide and is one of the largest exporters of crude oil in the world, and ranked 11th in that category. Norway was greatly impacted by the American Revolution of 1777, with the United States Constitution and ideals for democracy adopted as a model in the Norwegian Constitution of 1814. The huge number of Norwegians immigrating to the United States between 1825 to 1940 reinforced the relationship between the two nations. It was reported that an estimation of 850,000 people from Norway moved to the US and also helped in its development.
The relationship between Norway and the United States spans through strong trade and an overall economic relationship. One of Norway’s biggest export markets in the United States and both states do a lot of productive investment.

This relationship between Norway is more so as there is a whole populated district in El Dorado County, California named Little Norway, which was established in 1961, that started out as a post office and slowly became a place of interest for Norwegians and Californians alike.
